Like many organizations, the dedication and commitment from our volunteers measures heavily in our success. The Spirit of Edmonton is driven by volunteers, people like you.
As a not-for-profit organization, The Spirit of Edmonton Grey Cup Committee has an elected board that sets our policies and by-laws. Members of The Spirit of Edmonton Grey Cup Committee are all active volunteers who have demonstrated their involvement and commitment to the City of Edmonton and the Edmonton Eskimos.
Our Board Members are elected from the core committee, therefore, they have in-depth knowledge of our overall operation and possess a strong commitment to ensuring its’ success to make sure you have the BEST time possible at Grey Cup in the number 1 place to be at Grey Cup!
Volunteers are our backbone and drive of The Spirit of Edmonton Hospitality Room and The Spirit of Edmonton Grey Cup Breakfast. Over 200 plus volunteers are packed with pride to deliver not only a quick beer or cocktail, but they ensure you leave the room with a smile on your face and a great memory, all be it sometimes foggy the next day.
Many of our volunteers have returned to volunteer for over 10 years straight and most of our volunteers (80%) return from years past and continue to ask, “What can I do to help”?
What do we need from you the volunteer ?
We need people behind the bar in a support capacity, bartenders folks to help set-up, clean-up, and tear down.
It’s a lot of work and fun! and it will give you a sense of pride that YOU helped make this all work!
We ask that you fit in at least a 4 hour shift, however we are flexible. More often than not our volunteers want to and do stay longer than the 4 hours.
Contact our volunteer co-ordinator "Nice" Neil McCulloch to let him know that you want to be a volunteer
